American Chemical Society Open Access Article Quota
Unfortunately, the agreed article quota for open access publishing has been exhausted.
Thanks to a Read & Publish agreement between swissuniversities and the American Chemical Society, the open access option in the "transformative" (Hybrid Open Access) and "fully open access" (Gold Open Access) journals can be used free of charge. However, due to the great demand, the article quota has unfortunately already been used up.
The publisher will activate the normal workflow where a reduced APC of $3,000 will be charged(subscription based, no open access, is free). Alternatively, after an embargo period, the accepted manuscript may be made available on the institutional repository of the University of Basel, edoc: https://ub.unibas.ch/en/services/dh-digital-services/edoc/ .
As of January 2024, a new quota will be available.
