New Read&Publish Agreements with ACS, Nature, Oxford University Press
Free open access publishing in numerous journals by ACS, Nature, and Oxford University Press
Nature Research Journals
Publish: Corresponding authors affiliated with University of Basel or University Hospital Basel may select a free open access option in the Nature Research Journals offering hybrid open access (Nature and all titles beginning withe Nature except Nature Reviews, Nature Protocols, Nature Communications). A limited number of APCs estimated to be adequate for the first half of the year is prepaid by the agreement negotiated by swissuniversities and paid by the universieties. Read: The University Library took the opportunity to close major gaps in the portfolio. The new acquisitions include: Nature Aging, Nature Cardiovcascular Research, Nature Computational Science, Nature Electronics, Nature Food, Nature Machine Intelligence, Nature Metabolism, Nature Sustainability, Nature Synthesis and the new lauches Nature Mental Health und Nature Water. In addition Nature Reviews Methods Primers und Nature Reviews Physics. Thus, all Nature Journals are available from the first issue to the most recent articles. For financial reasons, three exceptions are remaining: Nature Reviews Earth&Environment, Nature Reviews Psychology und the new launch Nature Reviews Bioengineerung.
Oxford University Press
Publish: Corresponding authors affiliated with University of Basel or University Hospital Basel may select a free open access option in the Journals by Oxford University Press offering hybrid open access. The article quota is limitied and expected to be adequate until autumn. Press release by OUP.

American Chemical Society
Publish: Corresponding authors affiliated with University of Basel or University Hospital Basel may select a free open access option in the transformative and fully open access journals published by the American Chemical Society. This applies for articles on research not funded by SNSF only. The limited number of APCs estimated to be adequate for the first half of the year is prepaid by the agreement.
