Update on Ongoing Negotiations with Elsevier
The University Library Basel wishes to inform its community about the latest developments in the ongoing negotiations with the publisher Elsevier.
To date, the discussions have not resulted in an agreement that satisfies all parties. With the current contract set to expire on December 31, 2023, our library, in coordination with the consortium of Swiss university libraries, is preparing for the possibility of not having a new agreement in place from the start of 2024.
We assure the University community that our negotiation team continues to actively seek a resolution with Elsevier. We are committed to keeping you informed through this process.
