Update on Elsevier Negotiations and Nature APC Quota
Status of Elsevier Negotiations: An official communication on the outcome of the negotiations with Elsevier is anticipated later this summer. In the meantime, authors may already select the Open Access option for the University of Basel upon submission.
APC Quota at Nature: The negotiated article quota for free Open Access publishing was exhausted by May 13, 2024. Consequently, the publisher has activated the normal workflow, in which authors are billed for Article Processing Charges (APCs) for Open Access publishing. Alternatively, authors may make their accepted manuscripts available as Open Access on the University of Basel's institutional repository, edoc, at no additional cost.
